Back in 2018, we were just a bunch of kids who came together to form a collective with a passion for art and multi-disciplinary production, particularly in the world of cinema. We shared a familiar understanding of arts and culture and were driven to take action against the rising political aggression, censorship, and inequality among university students. We found that the best way to express our feelings was to unite and create together.
Despite being young, creative, and enthusiastic, we faced challenges such as the lack of production materials. To overcome this, we decided to collaborate with our community and came up with a film jam. Step by step, using our imagination and education, we independently produced the Çek-Yat Film Jam. It was an incredible experience that taught us the power of collaboration and creativity.
